I am a California scene painter. I have been lucky in my art pursuits to have met and been influenced by some great painters. In Canada, through studies at the Ontario College of Art, a semester with the legendary A.Y. Jackson and the watercolorists James Hill and Carl Schafer.
In Los Angeles, through studies at Citrus College and the Art Center College of Design, sessions with Robert Hallett, Robert E. Wood, Frank Webb, Henry Fukuhara and the late Milford Zornes.
I enjoy art in all its forms and isms. I like to experiment in abstract and non-objective themes. But mostly I love to travel, to see new places and to meet new people. I like the music, color and dress found in foreign cultures. I react to the country’s landscapes, animals, architecture and machines. My art tends to reflect this interest.
